കല്പതരു സ്തോത്രം - The Hymn of Kalpa Tharu

സത്യചിത് ഭാസുരാകാരം സദസത് ഭേദ ദര്‍ശിനം
നിത്യകൈവല്യദം ചിത്തശോധനാഗ്രേസരം മുനിം
മര്‍ത്യരൂപധരം സാക്ഷാത് സച്ചിദാനന്ദ വര്‍ഷിണം
പ്രത്യക്ഷ കല്പവൃക്ഷം തം പ്രണതോസ്മി ഗദാധരം

One Who is the glittering form of Truth and Knowledge, One who shows the distinction between the Real and Non-Real,
One who provides eternal bliss, and the sage who is proficient in cleaning the mind,
One who has taken human form, and is pouring the actual and absolute truth, knowledge and bliss,
Him, the visible KalpaVruksha(Wish fulfilling tree), Gadadhara, I salute

യജ്ഞകോടിഭിരദ്വൈതദര്‍ശനേന യദാപ്യതേ
തത് സ്വയംപ്രഭരൂപം ശ്രീരാമകൃഷ്ണ യതീശ്വരം
കാമദം കാമജേതാരം സര്‍വലോകമഹേശ്വരം
പ്രത്യക്ഷ കല്പവൃക്ഷം തം പ്രണതോസ്മി ഗദാധരം

One which is achieved through a million Sacrifices or Through Non-Dualistic principles,
That self-illumined form, Sri Ramakrishna, the Great Saint,
One who fulfills desires and who has overcome his own desires, One who is the Supreme being in all worlds,
Him, the visible KalpaVruksha, Gadadhara, I salute

യോ പൂര്‍വ്വം മത്സ്യകൂര്‍മാദി രൂപേ സമഭിജാതവാന്‍
വടുരാമാദിഭിര്‍ ലോകേ ധര്‍മസംസ്ഥാപനം കൃതം
തമേവ പരമം ഹംസം, ശാന്തിദം, പുണ്യശീകരം
പ്രത്യക്ഷ കല്പവൃക്ഷം തം പ്രണതോസ്മി ഗദാധരം

One who was born in past in the forms of Fish and Tortoise(First two avatars of Vishnu - Matsya and Koorma)
One who re-established Dharma in the world taking forms of Vamana and Rama,
Him alone, the ParamaHamsa, who propagates peace and who is the cool breeze of righteousness
Him, the visible KalpaVruksha, Gadadhara, I salute

നാഹം ജാനാമി ത്വത്കൃത്യം, മഹിമാ താവദീയകം
കാമകാഞ്ചനബദ്ധോഹം, പാപസംവിഗ്നമാനസം
 കൃപാഭരകടാക്ഷേന മോചയാശേഷ ദൂഷണാത്
പ്രത്യക്ഷ കല്പവൃക്ഷം  ത്വാം പ്രണതോസ്മി ഗദാധരം

Tied up in Lust and Greed, My mind is turbulent with the sins,
Hence I don't know your deeds, nor your greatness do I Know
Relieve me from these wickedness by a mere sight of yours filled with Mercy,
My Salutations to Thee Oh, Gadadhara, the visible KalpaVruksha

ന സ്മൃതം തവ പാദം, ന പഠിതം തവ സൂക്തി ച
നൈവ ചിന്താതരംഗേഷു ദൃഷ്ടം ത്വദ്രൂപമത്ഭുതം
ദീനരക്ഷണ ത്വന്നാമഗീതമേതത് പ്രഗൃഹ്യതാം
പ്രത്യക്ഷ കല്പവൃക്ഷം ത്വാം പ്രണതോസ്മി ഗദാധരം

I have not remembered your lotus feet, Neither did I read your sweet words,
I have never seen your amazing form in my waves of thoughts.
Yet, Please accept this song in your name, Oh The protector of poor

സത്ഗുരും പ്രണവാകാരം
ചിത്തകല്‍മഷ നാശിനം
കല്പവൃക്ഷോപമാനം തം
രാമകൃഷ്ണമുപാസ്മഹേ

We invoke Sri Ramakrishna.
The great teacher who is the Pranava(OM) taken form,
Him, who can dispel the darkness of mind,
and He who is comparable to Kalpa Vruksha.
